Maria Karlsson as Chief Executive Officer
 October 29, 2008, 7:54 am (1 year ago)Maria Karlsson has been assigned Chief Executive Officer at online gambling operator Bet24 following a fast climb from management trainee in 2004 at owners Modern Times Group AB. She substitutes Lotta Lindquist-Brosjц who is leaving the company to press on other business interests after 2 years as CEO.
Karlsson is experienced in her post, having been assigned deputy CEO in January this year. She has worked within Bet24 in a range of posts, such as Chief Financial Officer in 2006.
Throughout MTG's ownership Bet24 has experienced fast growth, turning out to be lucrative in 2007 with sales of SEK 386 million, total income of SEK 122 million and operating earnings of SEK 10 million. Throughout 2008 the business has reported healthy sales increase of 29 % for the first 9 months ending 30 September, alongside a similar remarkable increase in total income.
