Kentucky bans widened to bordering states as well

 November 5, 2008, 7:23 am (7 months ago)
The effort by the state of Kentucky to take control of the worldwide domains of online gambling companies kept on to be a basis of problem and annoyance to US players this week as the Jackpot Factory group expanded software supplier Microgaming's prohibition on Kentucky players to embrace neighboring states pending proof of residence.
Last month Microgaming casinos began prohibiting Kentucky players from licensee websites after a distressful decision by a Kentucky county court that international domains could be confiscated if owner companies didn’t keep out Kentucky players from gambling sites.

The Jackpot Factory group, one of Microgaming's biggest licensees, informed players in states neighboring Kentucky this week by email, explaining them that because of latest alterations in Kentucky legislation, from Thursday, November 6th, it would for the time being, reject accounts of players whose IP addresses lead to an adjoining state.
