Internet cafй keep appearing in spite of police raids

Malaysia is almost certainly one of the places where the regulations against gambling are tight, with major police investigations on mainly Internet cafe gambling a regular event of the district. Despite this fact, one after another, new operators continue to appear, catering constant needs from the local customers.
Teruntum assembly member Chang Hong Seong received attention to the occurrence again this week, stating that in spite of action conducted by the authorities in dealing with the issue of gambling at Internet cafes, a lot of such outlets are still operating freely.
According to The Star.com, the politician unveiled that most of the clients were young people, and this could cause social problems and a higher number of crime if it creates more and more young players who are addicted to gambling.
“I have written to state police chief Datuk Robiah Abdul Ghani expressing my anxiety on the matter after getting a number of complaints,” the assemblyman told the State Assembly.
