The online and offline betting company has changed the odds of the Chelsea manager leaving from 9/4 to 7/4. The move comes after evasive comments about his future, following his team's draw against Wycombe in the first leg of the Carling Cup Semi Final.
'Mourinho's ego is such that even if Chelsea win all four trophies he might decide on a
whim to leave and punters have latched on to his negative comments about his
Chelsea future,' said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
Chelsea are the 4/6 favourites to win the Carling Cup with Arsenal offered at 12/5;
Tottenham 4/1; Wycombe are the 33/1 outsiders.
Other prominent betting odds include the chances of Mourinho being Chelsea Manager on first day of 2007/08 Premiership season, which are currently set at 2/5 Yes and 7/4 No.
Bookmakers William Hill has slashed the odds of Chelsea’s self confessed ‘chosen one’ Jose Mourinho leaving his role at the beginning of next season.
