Hefty Usage in British Online Casinos

 January 21, 2007, 2:36 pm (1 year ago)

A study, conducted by Nielsen/NetRatings, revealed that users spend a startling average of over 10 hours per month using 888 Poker; PokerStars users are more moderate, spending just over 6 hours; whilst the figures are relatively surprising for Party Poker – whose users will gamble for 3 hours and 43 minutes a month.

Putting poker figures into context, the average use of the most popular online application, MSN Messenger, amounts to just 3 and a half hours over the course of the month.

With the widespread availability of broadband increasing its overall popularity, the review investigated a variety of online applications, and focused on their ‘addictiveness’ by examining their spread of usage.

As reported on Tuesday, English businesses are loosing a considerable amount of manpower to their employees’ online gambling habits. Now, a new report has given a wider context to the rise of Britain’s rising online casino addictions, revealing the considerable amount of time players spend online compared with players in other countries.
