London Bookmakers vs Rumors on Betting Shops

London Bookmakers have become very angry of the rumors that Mayor of London named Johnson is implementing a new law that will put a ban on spreading of bet shops in nearby location of London city. The present law states that betting shops can be opened in vacant banks without any requirement for planning commission. Last year, issue of bookmakers had been raised already in past by Green Party, but when Mayor was asked about the problem, he had not taken any action. The member of Green Party said that Mayor is now opposing the growth of betting shops in London.

Mayor sent a letter to Communities Secretary, where he mentioned that although, betting shops have a very significant role in culture and entertainment of people, but balance have to be maintain between positive and negative impacts of betting shops as high street retail mix in the city. However, London bookmakers are very angry at this decision of new development planned by Mayor and thus do not agree with him.
