Canadian online gambling facing restriction from FirePay

A sudden notification from the FirePay e-wallet has kept Canadian online gamblers in great confusion. Canadian online gamblers who use this payment processor are not allowed to mobiles their funds. This report published just before the weekend.

An on-site notice reveals that FirePay e-wallet has now extended its ban to Canadian online gamblers too. It has been applied to US gamblers earlier

"Effective February 21, 2007, FirePay www.firepay.com will no longer allow Canadian consumer payments to online gambling merchants. Effective February 28, 2007, FirePay www.firepay.com will no longer allow Canadian consumers to receive payments from online gambling merchants" the notice tells.

US counterparts could not get any spare time to get accustomed with any alternative payment processor following the imposed ban on online gamble. But, Canadian Firepay account holders they are getting some time to release their deposited money using alternative channels balances.

The notice also features some useful instructions on non-gambling exit options which are given below:

"All Canadian FirePay account holders will continue to be able to make purchases and receive payments from non-gambling online merchants, as well as to "Deposit From" and "Withdraw To" their Canadian bank account.
