Second Hearing for Legalization of Online Poker in US

There are large number of attempts have made for legalization of online poker in US only. At present, federal bill has sponsored in the House of Representatives. This has sent by Joe Barton of Texas for hearing to Subcommittee on Trade, Manufacturing and Commerce. On 18th of November, second hearing for this was held. At the time of hearing, there occurs a strong interaction between Barton and Frank Wolf of Virginia.

The main argument of Barton was that poker is a skill game and possess legitimate past time. On the other hand, Wolf had given some evidences that legalization of online gambling may lead to more problem gambling. In addition, Barney Frank of Massachusetts and California’s John Campbell also give their viewpoints at this hearing. They stated that legalization would give opportunity to play casino games in safety environment. Lastly, CEO of AGA (American Gambling Association) mentioned that they would favor a regulation, which will provide fair gambling market for NA (Native American) casinos and commercial casinos as well as lotteries.
