Agreement of ARJEL Gambling Regulatory Authority with IOC in Lausanne

Last week, after following a meeting in Lausanne, ARJEL regulatory authority of online gambling in French had entered in to an agreement with IOC (International Olympic Committee). Meeting of IOC with ARJEL is Lausanne has included approximately 50 representatives from various regulatory authorities, betting operators, sporting groups and Government officials and so on.

This is third meeting of Working Group, conducted under chairperson Rodge, President of IOC to have discussions on Illegal and Irregular Sports Betting. The result of this third meeting has observed the approval of several measures incorporating improved monitoring, awareness campaign, exchange and analysis of information and lastly, adoption of regulatory methods for tackling the problem. The Working Group has approved to form monitoring unit, which should compulsorily keep track on the progress of implementation of given recommendations and finally report about its findings at coming meetings.
