 December 23, 2006, 9:59 am (1 year ago)

Capped at 400 players, the four-day, €5,000 buy-in no-limit Texas Hold’em tournament at Hohensyburg Casino in Dortmund will be part of the PokerStars.com-sponsored, televised EPT TV series.

The growth of the European Poker Tour has been further strengthened with announcement of a new Series Three event to be staged in Dortmund, Germany from 8-11 March, 2007.

Players can qualify for the Dortmund EPT on PokerStars.com from January 1st 2007.

EPT director John Duthie has been planning an EPT event in Germany for several months. 'There are not that many venues in Germany with the space and facilities required to host an EPT tournament, but Casino Hohensyberg in Dortmund is an outstanding casino and comfortably meets the high standards required,' says Duthie. 'Poker players will be pleased to hear that there will be a full schedule of tournament activities alongside the main event, and cash games will also be available.'
